45 EAST MERCURY ST in beautiful
Uptown Butte, Montana USA
The Dumas was designed and built as a brothel in 1890 and remained active
as a brothel until 1982, making it America's longest running house of
prostitution.
It is the last remaining
intact survivor of Butte's Historic Red-Light district.
In the 1970s, The Dumas was listed on the National Register of Historic
Places where it remains listed as an active "bordello".
The Dumas is now a museum offering tours of the historic brothel during the months of May through September (construction permitting).
